Glamis Travel Arrangements

Hopefully this is the master plan!!
There will be NO rehearsal beforehand at St Andrews but would those who intend to travel by car arrive at the church at say 10 minutes before 1.00pm to pick up anybody who might require a lift. We will depart from the St Andrews at 1.00pm prompt so if you need a lift ….be in good time.
Assemble at The Arbroath Borough Marquee at around 2.30pm in readiness.
Dress code is black trousers/skirt with a coloured top…..essentially informal.
If you require details of free coach travel from Arbroath please ring me on Arbroath 830475.
Food vendors will be on site but take a picnic if you prefer. There will be lots going on and many thousands of people are expected. I would advise that if you have a small stool or chair then it might be sensible to go prepared! Please no alcohol and only dogs on a lead will be permitted.
I am sure this will be a fun event and a chance to show Angus what Arbroath Choral is all about!!

Glamis Jubilee – May 20th

Please note that our times for the Borough tent have changed to 2.45 until 3.15pm and on the main stage at 3.40pm for which we must assemble 15 minutes beforehand.
I am advised that parking at Glamis could be fairly chaotic in view of the thousands that are expected. Please email me or phone (01241830475) for details of a shuttle bus service from Arbroath if you do not wish to drive.

A well attended coffee morning and I think we can call it a success.
A big thank you to all of you who donated prizes for the various stalls and helped sell tickets, also for all those volunteers who turned out early on a Saturday morning to help us set up. Once again thank you everybody.

Spring Concert Programme

There has been a change to the proposed Spring Concert programme. The works to be performed are ‘This is the Day’ by John Rutter which could even be its first performance in Scotland!!
‘The Wedding Feast of Hiawatha’ by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and the Gloria by Karl Jenkins.
We have only just started rehearsing and it is not too late if anybody would like to come and join us. Male voices would be especially welcome and you do not need any prior musical experience. There are NO auditions.
